My name Mary Grisdale. The children call me Ms. Mary. This is my second year in Ms. Wood's classroom.  I took the job at Logan after retiring from doing child care in my home for 25 years. In my role as a child care provider, I cared for infants through kindergarteners plus some school age children during the summer. I am a graduate of the University of Michigan majoring in sociology and psychology. I am a mother of four children ranging in age from 35 to 48. They are a school counselor, a wildlife biologist, a labor-deliver nurse, and a teacher. My three daughters live locally and my son lives in California. I have seven grandchildren ranging in age from 10 months to 20 years old. My hobbies are beekeeping, water aerobics and reading. I also love to travel and have adventures. I lived in Ann Arbor for almost 50 years before moving to Chelsea 2 years ago. I enjoy the peace of the outdoors. Raising my children and running my childcare have given me immeasurable experience working with children. I have been able to use this experience and knowledge of children while working with the students in Ms Wood's classroom. I look forward to continuing this work.
